If I am correct, this addon is much like EventAlert, no? I was assuming it was so I thought, O good, a better alternative because of the button facade support. I installed it, went ingame, set it up the way I wanted it and locked it. It doesn't seem to be working when my procs go off. I am playing a Mage currently and it doesn't show my Brain Freeze, Fingers of Frost, nor anything really. Any help on this matter is appreciated as I was excited about this addon seeing it had button facade support!
Thank you -Ferous/Electrify of Hydraxis. I would like to also add that I would love to see Impact added, If I can get the darned thing to work! :P Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about, to just show that I do have it enabled n such.

 I once thought about that. But there seemed to be some trouble. SurgeTrack tracks proc by Spell ID ,not Spell Name.So.. A proc metadata should be like this: Code:

It is not easy for an end user to gather proc spell id, unless he goes to wowhead to find it by himself , or uses some macro/script, gather it. Badly when you input a invalid spell id, error occurs. I'm try to aviod from invalid spell id issue. however, when this is ready, I'll add it as an advanced options. I'm going to add a function called "Gather Mode". When you enable "Gather Mode", it will tracks EVERY PROC. when you gain a proc, addon will ask you whether to add this for tracking, and then save it. I'm on it now. Maybe you will see this soon if everything goes fine. Thanks for your idea. Good luck! |

I just taked a view of the addon EventAlert. You are right. Both the same kernel by using "COMBAT_LOG_EVENT" to execute. SurgeTrack based on lib ACE3 which makes it easy to setup and easy to extend. eg. the spell data, the options menu and the aura stack. If you are using many ACE3 addons, I think SurgeTrack is a better choise for the low memory usage(30-40kiB), otherwise the opposite.  GL |

Here's the feedback from my friend. It works on version 3.0.5(zhCN) Brain Freeze, Fingers of Frost(see screenshots as follows) I thought there might be 2 causes. 1 API changes after 3.1.0 released I seeked into it but hardly got anything related to the addon. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...43414368&sid=1 http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...43405133&sid=1 2 someting not compatible eg: If there's some other addons hook the event "COMBAT_LOG_EVENT", SurgeTrack does not work. Maybe you can try this: Disable all other addons temporarily, and login game. I'll release a debug version shows every steps that how addon works. If you are interested, help me resolve this. Thanks very much!

Do you mean this: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=11103 I'd like to hear your opinion about 1 Whether "Impact" should be enabled/disabled by default ? 2 Is this a new mage talent added in patch 3.1 ? I am familiar with Priest only.

Im sorry I didnt get back to you sooner. I couldn't get it the way I wanted so I ended up uninstalling it
 I was hoping it was going to work because this is something I would like in terms of talent procs and such, and I love the whole button facade support. I don't know why it didn't work, I had the ingame options and everything but when something proc'd nothing showed. I can re-install it and see if I get any errors. Impact is just a proc in fire talents that makes your next fire blast instant. http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=64343 Oh, and no it shouldn't be on by default, I was just throwing it in there if you wanted to or not :P Right now I am using somewhat of a beta release of GhostWolf, but I will disable it and enable SurgeTrack to see if I get any errors pertaining to why it doesn't show up and I will get back to you. -Ferous/Electrify of Hydraxis.

I wouldn't see why It wouldn't work pertaining to what addons I have, I have Recount and Nice Damage, I am disabling all addons except surgetracker to see if this is the issue.
I disabled all addons except surgetracker and it still doesn't work >.> I get no errors either ingame when addons are enabled. I wouldn't see what the issue was, I am sorry it didn't seem to work for me, I wish I can find the cause of it When I use the similar addon like EventAlert, that works fine for me so Im thinking maybe it is something on your end rather than my end. I have no idea though
