    WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which helps you to manage your whispers by making them into a classic instant messenger interface such as AIM, Yahoo and MSN.

    With game play in mind, WIM has a large array of options where you can customize how WIM interacts during different situations, such as while you are in combat or in town talking to friends or selling your crafts.

    I have heard about a few people having this same issue. I am trying to track it down. Are you running any other chat addon's besides wim?

    ChatMOD, Cirk's Chatmanager, Converse and ClearFont.

    I have disabled these addons, but it didn't solves the problem.

    Thanks Xall. I found out the reason on another thread. I will post an update once i rework the coding for it. In the meantime, to have it function proppery, you can turn off the "Suppress" option found on the "Whispers" tab in WIM's options.

    Update - Bug fixes
    I just posted version 1.0.19. It should fix the main issues that everyone has been receiving.
    Issues being:
    -Common/Orcish problem when sending whispers
    -receiving repeat messages

    Let me know if it corrects everyone's issues.

    I just posted version 1.1.4. Thats right, only a week old and already i felt that WIM is ready for its v1.1 series. Thats how many features you guys have requested! Please read the change log for specifics as to what was added. Any bugs please send them my way and thank you for all your support. In the meantime I will continue to be working on your feature requests.

    This is definitely the best mod I have seen for this application. I used Tell Track for the longest time, but it drove me nuts that I had to switch tabs from tell track to the general tab ... cuz tell track is locked to it.

    Unfortunately, it is going to drive me nuts to have a new window open for every tell I get. I am a raid leader. I get a TON of them ... I wont be able to raid with a bunch of windows up ...

    Am I missing something? Could you code a way to put it all in one window?

    Also, I am running a Minimap mod ... and My minimap is on the other side of the screen from my chat windows ... I suggest putting the same functionality that the minimap button has on the class button that pops up. If in doing that you could also add an option to restrict it to one window, and again using the class icon, pull up the list of conversations, select one, and move to it ... I would be your biggest fan! If you could color the text in the conversation list based on which ones have new ones I would have your puppies!

    I must admit this addon is awesome. It has problems with guildads though. All guildads messages are intercepted and directed to whisper windows. I've been trying to fix it with no clue, but i'll continue trying.

    EDIT: The problem is given by GuildAds 1.03 message system, it uses Whisper channel to sync. Maybe adding just a filter could fix it
    EDIT2: I found a rough fix:

    In the file WIM.lua, change as follow

    Seem to be having a conflict with CTRA when you drag a class out into it's own window.

    Does WIM share a global function, or does it have a function with the same name as CTRA somewhere?

    Hey everyone. I am sorry but I have not been posting updates to this site. It became to combersome to upload all the changes to so many sites everytime i release an update (about once a week). Please check out WIM on both UI.WorldOfWar.net and curse-gaming.com. Alot has been added since the release on this site and I think if you liked this version, you'll love all the additions since.

    Hey there. It has recently come to my attention that WIM is showing AceComm-2.0 whisper messages.

    This can be allayed by ignoring any CHAT_MSG_WHISPER and CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM messages that start with /

    General code would be:
    if arg1:find("^/") then return end

    if that's put at the top of the handler for those two events, you'll be golden.

    Hi,

    i love thos addon. Its the most advanced of all whispering interface. Good to see that it is updated again.

    I have a feature request.

    Would it be possible to add support for tabs? i like the window layout very much but i think there is a lot of window cluttering when whispering to several poeple at the same time.

    In my opinion the competition addon WE (Whisper Enhanced) has the best tab management.
