ncExploreMap  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.1
by: nightcracker [More]

ncExploreMap is an addon that lets you see unexplored parts of the map as if you have explored them. This is a recreation of MozzFullWorldmap, just a bit stripped down. Also, this addon deletes any data from the database which you have explored, thus reducing memory usage. Goes from ~100kb on level 1 to ~5kb on level 85 with everything explored.

Usage:
Install & go! Toggle the overlay by right clicking the world map close button.

Update for cata! Also changed toggle system to something more smooth (right click on close button).

This doesn't seem to work right. What it ends up doing for me is highlighting all displayed areas. If only explored areas are displayed, those are highlighted. If all areas are displayed, all areas are highlighted. So it doesn't seem to be a solution to jlrm's (and my) desired feature (highlight unexplored areas only).

I respect that this is an unsupported feature, but if it is not a difficult answer, do you know of a proper hack to get it to work? Thanks so much.
I currently have no time, I need to build in a check whether the map piece we are coloring is explored or not which is too complicated from the top of my head. Help me remind in two weeks or so and I'll see what I can do

No. I personally detest this. If you are exploring for, well, exploring, temporarily dis/enable the overlay by rightclicking the worldmap close button.

If you REALLY want this you can edit this line in the ncExploreMap.lua file:
Code:
texture:SetVertexColor(1, 1, 1)

Is there a colour overlay, to indicate which areas have been revealed - rather than explored?

If you REALLY want this you can edit this line in the ncExploreMap.lua file:
Code:
texture:SetVertexColor(1, 1, 1)
The color is R, G, B in values from 0 - 1. To get the regular R, G, B values from 0-255 use this (example is for bright red):
Code:
texture:SetVertexColor(255/255, 0/255, 0/255)

Any idea why this addon does not load the saved variable?
The ncExploreMap with 'nxExploreMap = true' is being created but the addon seems to ignore it :\

€dit: Nevermind, just one Line missing to set the correct Button State
