Carbonite Quests 

Just a reminder to all those who rely on Carbonite to help them in the exploration of the World of WoW...

These folks do this on their own time, with little outside help. Because these awesome dev's are basically freelance coders (own time, own dime), we deal with delays in the addon finally working smoothly.

While carbonite may be one of the more popular addons, the folks behind the scenes of Carbonite do not have the same relationships with Blizzard that the Professional Addons from Dev Companies (meaning they get source code much sooner). As such, many times they have to wait until Beta is nearly finished to rely on what they can do with the source code. And, when a new expansion/patch finally does go live, they are usually behind the curve as there are usually considerable minor tweeks to the code that wreak havoc with addons written for the last available code in Beta.

Just be patient with them, as they have lives, families, and jobs just like the rest of us.

The quest list is whacked, and I don't mean the one that always appears, but the one that only appears when you press L to display it. If I could attach pictures I would, but I don't have the pictures out on a site that has a URL, and I don't see any other way to attached them to a post. If I try to size the window down so it doesn't take up my entire monitor (displayed side by side) it just squishes the quest description to where it's illegible. If I choose to not display the quest description side by side then it only shows a small portion of the description that requires scrolling, and often cuts off the quest earnings and/or the item you get for completing it. I'm using the latest version from the github site.

You are right - it always takes them a very long time to update carbonite to the newest patch or xpac. I had to completely disable it because it caused so much lag that I only had 1fps. I wish they would work with Blizz to have the add on updated and ready for patches and new xpacs. As good as the add on is the timing sucks and we always have to wait for weeks to get this updated and it's also very difficult to find the update files.

is there any update to remove the lag regarding the mapupdate portion?
