NameplateDistance Classic  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.0.1
by: wardz [More]

Increases the default nameplate distance to 80 yards.
You can change the value yourself by typing: "/npdistance 60" where e.g 60 is the range you want. This allows easy switching of values between battlegrounds, leveling, etc.

If you don't want to download the addon, you can also use this script: /run SetCVar("nameplateMaxDistance", 80)

Edit: Seems like Blizzard blocked the script. Changing nameplate distance is no longer available.

considering other two methods were blocked and not just by any error but one that said cvar was protected, i'm going to guess SetCVar function ignoring that is a bug they'll fix
Yeah probably, I mostly made this addon so they'd be aware and can fix it. I don't want long nameplate distance in classic as it ruins world pvp in various ways. If you have beta access, you should submit a bug report if you haven't already
