When I moved the eePanels Tank Frame over to the right side of the action bars, I managed to shrink its width a little down from 166 to 155. Of course I had to snuggle up the two columns of tank details, but it seemed to look all right in Pitbull. I know it only gets you a few extra pixels in whichever action bars you put it next to,...

Can I add a Bongos question in too please - can Bongos tell when I am at ranged or melee distance and swap between two pages of a bar? As a Hunter I don't need to access my melee skills often but if a critter does slip past there are things I need to clobber it with real fast. At the moment I have allowed myself the luxury of two...

Arkive - thanks for the earlier advice on eePanels and Pitbull to move the Raid Tank Frame over to the right. It was a straightforward task to do it. I also tinkered with the size and position of the Autobar a little, moved the tracking button and played a LOT with Bongos (why oh why is the Pet bar set to a different scale and spa...

Arkive - thanks for busting a gut to push out the new version - it looks really slick! You should pat yourself on the back too (if it is possible - is it one of those things you can't actually do like lick your own elbow?) for shaving a good TEN MEGS of the Memory used counter when first logging in. Good work! Not being familia...

Krimator - have you checked the last three options on the /arkiveui menu? They are to do with chat font size. At the moment they affect all six (or seven?) chat windows and tabs equally, but they may be just what you need.

Raude - with addon updaters like WowAceUpdate, there are a couple of settings you need to check and not all updaters have them set by default (or have them at all)... The two key settings are : 1. Update WITHOUT externals - this is because ArkiveUI contains all the libraries it needs within the Addons folder. You don't need to...

Arkive - I have a question about the new release. You have said you will be moving the Tank Frame down to between the left chat box and the left action bar block. Which addon(s) will I need to read about if I want to move it to the same position but on the right-hand side? Being left-handed I find my main block of action bars are...

I'm playing on an iMac Core2duo 2.8GHz, 2Gb Ram and the ATI HD 2600Pro 256Mb card and with the correct settings from the iMac performance thread on the US forum I get a consistent 60-90fps in busy places. I can't comment on raids cos I've not been in that situation yet. I have turned off the battlegrounds and arena addons for the...

drdiesel - to answer this... Other question, how to you remove the little highlight at the top of the action bar buttons? It's kind of annoying on empty buttons. If you open the Bongos options, you can Hide Empty Buttons and the highlights disappear as you wanted.

Apologies for the Wall-o-text, but I feel it is important that Gazmik's fans and Gaenjin especially understand I did attempt to follow the correct procedures suggested by WowInterface before making ANY changes to the addon. This is one of my most recent comments on my (now closed) Fan Fix thread which explains the steps I took and...

Arkive - I apologise for creating extra work for you, but Gazmik is back and has released an official update for Hunters Helper himself. Apparently he was very busy with work-related stuff and had not had an opportunity to check the forum or WoW email for some time but was contacted privately by people who let him know that there...

IMPORTANT UPDATE : Gazmik has contacted me via the Hunters Helper forum and stated he is still working on Hunters Helper himself. This Fan Fix is now no longer needed and is withdrawn.

Ah, Gazmik - thank you for posting. Firstly my apologies for the way I may have mis-handled this issue but all I can claim is inexperience at posting addon fixes and a keen desire to carry on using HuntersHelper. I am sorry. I had tried to contact you by email and PM but yes, as you said, you were busy working on something else....

I understand and appreciate what you all are saying. Yes, this is still Gazmik's addon and a wonderful one too - I was drawn to his addons by his great sense of humour... but it needed some immediate work to correct issues that were experienced by new Hunters. Gazmik last updated HuntersHelperUI over a month ago and that update ha...

The behaviour of the Filter drop-down is on my to-do list, along with the fact that the colours of some of the rows in the skills list are incorrect. You have certainly installed it correctly - in fact you have been particularly thorough. As it stands at the moment, the 2.4.01 patch does not add or remove any files and the reset f...

Enjoy the fixes, folks.
Posted By: DanielCoffey
Enjoy the fixes, folks - I will be working on a lot of the little things that Gazmik didn't manage to sort out in the HuntersHelperUI such as the colour of the skills in the list, that strange filter dropdown and so on. If you spot anything not working as it should, please let me know and I'll have a go at finding a fix.

I have submitted a COMPLETE REPLACEMENT file to WowInterface for Fizzwidget Hunter's Helper for approval. It includes both the following bug fixes plus re-enables the reset command that was hidden inside the old HuntersHelper.lua to wipe the contents of the Known Skills list. This means that people can easily clear the list rather...

Arkive - I have a good fix in hand for the major errors in HuntersHelperUI. Once I have done some more testing, the rest of the issues I have with it are just cosmetic (skills in the wrong colours and so on). I will approach WoWInterface to get a Patch File created for the addon in the next day or two which will simplify updates i...

I have been speaking to the admins at WoWInterface and there is a method for fans of an addon to release fixes in an easy-to-install fashion. I am currently looking at the problem with Cobra Reflexes not being trainable even though you have the skill. If I can make any headway with that problem, I will release a Patch File for GFW...

If you are seeking an alternative, I'll stop working on my fixes for it. I have uncovered a fairly hairy pile of bugs in things that I suspect Gazmik never thought we'd try to do. They are all to do with the skills list and the ranks displayed in it. EDIT : I have just seen the following in the HuntersHelper release notes... Th...

Thorlin - is that on the un-edited version of HuntersHelper or after my changes? There is definitely a problem with the passive skills list - I am told I cannot train Cobra Reflexes until I learn it, but I already have and trained it to the pet when Hunters Helper was disabled to get round the problem. In addition I am told things...

That is a bug with GFW_HuntersHelper. I got round it by temporarily disabling the addon, reloading the UI, training that ability using the Blizzard pet interface then re-enabling the addon. Since Hunters Helper is currently in limbo, it looks like it is up to us to fix it, though it wouldn't hurt to drop by the Hunters Helper boar...
