That means you got an error, but have Lua errors turned off.
Hit Esc -> Interface -> Help -> Display Lua Errors
If you get the problem again, you'll have something to tell me about where the error was =)

The "Show Buffs" and "Show Debuffs" checkboxes on the Spells tab have nothing to do with moving buffs around in the frames. Try here: http://evilempireguild.org/SBF/ That needs to be updated for 3.0, but it will give you the idea of what's up.

Tinuvel and Clavicle - I need more information about the errors you're getting to track down what you're getting. The best bet is to get BugSack and BugGrabber, then copy and paste the entire error message you get in the BugSack window here for me.
Also, you could try deleting the SBF saved variables before logging in.

I put Beta 1 up now that the server's been shut down. Should fix a few of the more glaring problems, like ButtonFacade. I haven't actually tested BF with 3.0 yet.

Have not abandoned you all, I'm just working hard on CombatMonitor 2 now that the PTR is up. There are some things coming in 2.4 that will benefit this addon as well, so I am playing with them on the PTR as well. Once 2.4 goes, this will get a new release with some new toys.
