I'm not quite sure what you're referring to; What can't Tidy Plates do? Tidy Plates (as well as the default nameplates) has shown aggro differences from the very first version. Both Threat Plates, as well as the default Tidy Plates theme, can alter the size of the nameplate art depending on this status. The idea that Threat Pl...

LOL - Ok, um... so I'm just going to think of you as a female, regardless of whether you are or not, because it makes your first sentence easier to read. As for the addon; It SHOULD stay up on the currently targeted mob.. at least, that's the intent haha. Maybe I still have some work to do. For non-targeted mobs, the only way...

:-) You're very welcome! Tidy Plates applies a skin to the Blizzard-generated nameplates, which are found under the WorldFrame object. Since Blizzard doesn't generate one for the player, we'd have to create one of our own. It's possible to create your own frame that looks (to Tidy Plates) like a nameplate object, but does all o...

Re: Repositioning nameplates
Posted By: danltiger
It's a great suggestion, and I wish I could do it... (You were expecting this, right?) ... BUT, since the active portion of the nameplate is a secure frame, non-Blizzard addons can't change the anchors during combat, which effectively kills the ability to move the plates around. Out-of-combat, it's possible to move the frame...

Ok, the answer to Combo Points was very simple, and I feel stupid because I didn't think of the solution, earlier. Anyway, the feature will be in 5.9, which may be out sooner rather than later since I'm snowed in. Pray for more snow - haha. Easy fix... Pop open the Simbar.toc file, and add this: ## Dependencies: TidyPlates Originally posted by TekNoir I have been using TidyPlates + OttoDeFe's SimBar skin without issue until the download of version 5.8 of TidyPlates. Both addons are still loading and I receive no errors. SimBar is not listed in the new dropdown,...

Y'know what? You're right; I should be doing changelogs, and I would like to be doing them, but it's just not important enough to me to put it above other things. When the time comes (if it ever does) for theme authors to change their themes, I'll certainly make it known. There's been numerous changes to the code since I stopped...

There is no way to name the nameplates inactive; The active part of a nameplate is a secure frame, which locks down pretty much any kind of change that we can make. In fact, they don't even behave like a usual unit frame, where we can get/set attributes. Originally posted by Morpheusdead So there is no way to just make the name...

Posted By: danltiger
Tidy Plates doesn't change the size of the mouseover field. The default size is about 150 x 38, which will remain constant even during nameplate art scaling. The hitbox can only be changed out-of-combat, since it's a Blizzard secure frame, which makes things goofy when you've got several different sizes. This is an issue that affe...

I've just uploaded Tidy Plates v5.8, which has an in-game theme chooser. If CleanPlates doesn't appear, try opening up the Addons Options menu, and look for the Tidy Plates category; You'll find a simple drop-down menu, with all the currently available themes.

For normal mobs, you'll always get UNKNOWN, since there's no health bar coloring for them to distinguish the type. So, yeah, a MC'd player will get the unit.class value, if the plates updates during that time (it should, in combat) Originally posted by suicidalkatt So, I've been trying to merge clean plates and threat plates an...

I can tell you that it works, because I've tried it. The biggest problem is that the threat value changes so quickly that the data becomes out-of-date very rapidly. I'd worked around that issue by making the value fade after a certain amount of time, but that required usage of the OnUpdate event, which I've been trying to minimize....

Well, there IS more than one color; Green means Low Threat, and Red means High Threat (tanking). What I think you're asking is; Can I have full threat measurement on a nameplate? Simple answer: No... The only way to take a measurement of threat (from the WoW API) is with a unitid (target, focus, party1target, raid1target,...
