glad to see that oUF_Hank is still so popular and obviously still works with the latest patch. I've stopped playing shortly after Firelands, so I can't really check things out ingame. The errors you encounter occur due to an internal change with the way combat log messages are represented in 4.1 and not to changes with the encouter. A fix will follow.

SpartanUI uses it's own oUF layout. So deactivate or delete SpartanUI_PlayerFrames is my first guess.

I dont know where your problem lies. Just open some image and select Save as->"Blp texture". You have a point with TGA support though.

The problem is that chat bubbles just like nameplates are not uiScaled so it's tricky to achieve pixel perfection. Second off if you are using another border you need to create a new tail border texture to match the border texture. Hiding the tail is easy though. Just delete these lines:
