Also, I don't play Elemental at all. Do you have any suggestions for more effective ways to show individual LS charges? Or is only showing every 3 (or 4) orbs enough, and it doesn't actually matter whether you have, say, 10 or 12 charges?

Just so that you know, lightning shield charges stack to 20 charges for elemental shamans once you reach level 92 as a result of the Draenor levelling perk.
