 Carbonite intercepts system messages

I cannot see any system messages while carbonite is installed. I cannot see /played, or /roll for example. There must be some option to disable this functionality, but due to the scattered and disjointed options menus, i am unable to find the option. If anyone could point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it!! Than...
