I've run into delays on this and won't have it this weekend. The next version is still going to have the configuration for transparency and moving buffs though.

Thanks for these bug reports. I've actually never tried it with borders; they were the first Blizzard option I shut off. I'll have to remember to do tests with borders from now on. I do test the MA and MT boxes and don't run into problems with them. I'll try it in a larger raid though and see if I can reproduce it.

Party frames and vertical hp should work now, and the Blizzard size sliders are back so you can make them rectangles if you want.

The main things I want in the next version are fixing the Blizzard unlock and resize sliders to work right, and an option for vertical hp bars. I figured out how to do the vertical hp already, but I need to test that the "overheal prediction" bars also work. After that, I want you to be able to choose whether to center and truncat...

Thanks for fixing this. I didn't want to have to. I did find leaked globals and committed the fix for that to WowAce. It's pretty minor though. I didn't get far in trying to get the tooltips to attach correctly. The Tablet callback doesn't give any useful information.

The new version basically: - Makes them 72x72 - Uses SetScale to make them half that. This doesn't cause taint. - Makes the buff icons bigger, and only shows 2 buffs not 3. - Makes the name text bigger, centers it, and caps it at 5 letters.

Ok both implementations cause taint. What I'll have to do is make a look-alike for the sliders. The user won't be able to adjust the sliders in combat like they can with the Blizzard ones, but no one will mind that. edit: This is not trivial, if it's even possible. The problem is that frames can be created in combat for various...

Ah, that was the first way I tried doing it, and when I was investigating why the Blizzard code was clobbering the changes on PLAYER_LOGIN, I found out about the options table. That's probably why you used PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD? If it spreads taint there are ways around it for sure, since all we really need to do is set the CVar....

The icons definitely become smaller. A way to keep them bigger relative to the frames is a good idea. I'll look into what it takes to change that.

edit: Blizzard will be fixing the annoying sound change that came with 4.0. There'll be a new version of DinnerBell that doesn't require the workaround whenever they fix it. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27191405530&pageNo=2&sid=1#39

I'm maintaining this on Curse now. It's updated and works with 4.0. I don't have permission to update it on WoWInterface yet. I'll ask about it the next time I contact the author.

Very many addons do this already, but I was having so much fun writing it that I couldn't stop, even when I kept finding out about more range-coloring addons I hadn't heard of. I like mine the most but I'm biased. :P It does profile very well though!

edit: nm, my bug did post; it just went way, way to the last page. I don't know if you use the bug-reporting feature, but anyway the report is here. I got a Lua error on Cata beta with v40000-1.0.2 just now.

v1.6 has a workaround for patch 4.0's bizarre sound changes. It turns the sound on and volume up for 1 second, so the sound will play. The workaround won't activate until 4.0, but it's in the code now waiting for 4.0, and the mod won't need an update. I'm still looking for a better workaround, but what I expect will happen is tons...

That might be a problem with the macro I gave you. The Ace3 from wowace doesn't have /in, and it would be pretty weird if you had some altered copy that added it. It's not so important though; if you have /in from somewhere else you really don't need this.

Hm. I'm sure you're not the only person who thought /in was standard though, since for the last 3 years a lot of addons were providing it automatically. I'll try to make the description explain this better.

BTW, currently on Cata it's not possible to play addon sounds when sound effects are off. Several authors have complained about this to Blizzard. If Blizzard doesn't change it, I'll just make DinnerBell turn sounds on for 1 second when playing the sound. There's no need to address this issue until 4.0 though.

/in is not standard. You're most likely getting it from an Ace2 addon. If you search your Addons folder for files called AceEvent-2.0.lua, you can find which addon(s) are providing /in. Ace2 is old and bloated though, and will stop being maintained in Cata. Almost no addons use it anymore. The big remaining ones are probably Grid and...
