I use Swype, because I've gotten used to certain things about how it works (mostly regarding how it handles punctuation) but the lack of skinning options is annoying (especially since all of the built-in skins have a pretty strong Android 2.x aesthetic and look quite dated and "busy") and I have to admit that even the swiping algorithm it uses has fallen way behind SwiftKey and even the default Android keyboard (it's way worse at figuring out what word I meant if I didn't precisely hit each letter). I should really just take the plunge and force myself to use something else until I get used to it... though I don't really want to use SwiftKey either because it sucks for using punctuation, and only has paid skins, no API for third-party skins. :(

OK, what's the next language we will use in this thread? I could use Italian, but I am better at speaking and reading it than I am at writing it.

That's about 50% of the Russian I remember from my childhood lessons. :p The Cyrillic alphabet, however, came very much in handy when I was 12 and didn't want my brother to read my diary (again) and tell everyone which boy I had a crush on (again)... good luck reading this as a 10-year-old white boy in rural America: I can still read Russian (okay, maybe not that example, or cursive in general very well) but I can't tell you want most of it means... |
