ag_unitframes
Since the wowace website is down for now, is there somewhere that I can get a copy of ag_unitframes (a compiliation or something)?
also, does anyone have a copy of all the slash-commands, info, or whatever is needed to use it? (I haven't used it yet, but really want to give it a try. perl-frames just isn't cutting it, and I want something other then DUF, since it eats up so much memory) thanks in advance :) |

I have a question.
I installed the ag_UnitFrames but it seems my default Blizzard Unit Frames are still up on the top left....I do not know how to get rid of them..any ideas? And also; How do I get Target's target w/ these ag_UnitFrames...doesn't seem to want to show up for me either. |

OK; I'll just ask this here so I don't open a new thread just for a simple question. I want the frame of my target to be located to the right (as close as possible) to my characters frame, but, seeing as my buffs are also shown to the right of my frame (which I don't want anyway), the targets frame has to be located pretty long away from it (or under the buffs location) in order not to make the buff icons appear over/under it. And I don't need to see my buffs/auras/... beside my characters frame anyway, cause I already see that info appearing to the left of my minimap. Here's a screenshot showing what I want. -> So; Here it is - How can I disable showing icons (buffs, auras, etc.) beside the players frame (Note that I still want to keep showing buffs by my targets and party frames), or, if it's not possible to turn them off / hide them, How can I hide showing the icons to the left of my minimap (Blizzard style)? Thanks *EDIT* Lol; After tinkering a bit with it I figured out that the buff icons are reffered to as "Auras" so I've solved my problem now =P Sorry for spamming :cool: |

Is it possible to use agUF only for its raid frames, but Perl Classic UF for the others (player, target, party, tot, pet) without significant impact on the UI performance? I know both addons are very well coded, but I'm not sure they are compatible this way. Have any of you tried it?

Dunno about Perl but ag_unitFrames will let you have Player, Target, Party, Raid enabled or disabled at will so shouldnt be a problem if all you want it for is the raid frames. that said, if thats all you want why not give perfectRaid a try for raid frames.

I know perfectRaid, but it's quite different, from what I want. I'm rather looking for something more CT_RA like. But thanks for the tip!

iirc, perl classic is modular so you can delete the folders for any parts you're not using to save some bloat. Aside from that I doubt there'll be any problem running both and mix/matching parts from them apart from the obvious slight waste of resources. Plenty of people run aguf for most frames and a seperate addon for the raid frames.
Any particular reason why you want to keep perl rather than just swapping it out completely for aguf? |
In fact, Perl Classic does not include a raid frame system in default, that's why I'm looking for a nice looking raid frame sys. Since I have no problems with Perl and the author does great job at coding and with functions, I'd like to keep it.
I'm going to try how they work together, but as you said they must be quite smooth. Thanks for the answers. |
Well, Perl offers raid frames, but they arent included in the "normal" perl package and you have to download them additionally :) you can get them here.

Hmmm I'm having a small problem with agUF at the moment and sadly can't get to the main page for the mod with the site being push to the limit.
My problem/error is that the command for hiding party in a raid doesn't seem to work :( Does anyone know how to fix this? (Sorry for not searching for an answer, but I can't seem to get the page for the mod and check there :( ) |
profiles \ party frames issues
Hey Guys,
I am aware that most people have stated that party frames don't hide in raid, however I thought I would get around this by using Gyro (found on this site) and running command lines. My first thought was to type the commands for hiding the party frames, but that does not seem to exist. After more thought I realised that I could change the profile from the command line - fantastic, as i could then to frame positions and all sorts, and have raid and non raid frames . And thats where my problem lies - I have created two profiles - they *are* different I can compare the options in them, however when I chnage the profiles from the command line, nothing changes other than i recieve the message that the profile has changed! So is the error with ag_unitframe, or the Ace2 profile system, or have I just got somthing fundimentally wrong ?? Thanks in advance, Mizpah |
Current bug in AGUF is that Party Frames are no longer hidden when Joining a Raid or Forming a Raid.
Minor bug, but still felt I should report it. |
Anyone know whats happened to the "group by" option in the raid view? before 2.0 ag_uf had a really nice group by healer/dps option. It's gone now and I miss it :(

Hi,
i have a question about the debuffs listened under my group portraits. The debuffs just apears in a different color in the middle of all the other buffs, so it`s really hard to figure out that there is a debuff that has to be dispelled. Is it possible to place the buffs below my group members and to place the debuffs to the right of them so that i can see if there really is a debuff or not ? Thanks alot. Enzos. |

Is there any chance of Druid bar support or a feature that aloows me to see my mana while I am in Cat/Bear form (which is all I use Druid bar for :rolleyes: ). If there is a way to do this, that would be awesome and very much appreciated :)

So are you supposed to be able to download AG_unitframes at http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Ag_UnitFrames ? I'm accustomed to seeing a "downloads" link somewhere on the page at the download sites.
I've also run into 3 problems that ultimately forced me to delete the version that is available here on wowinterface. 1 - I used the menu to hide the party frame since it doesn't go away when you're in a raid. Now I'm unable to restore that menu. The only workaround I found for that was to keep a backup of the saved variable file for this addon and copy it back over the original before doing a "/script ReloadUI()" to reload. 2 - health/mana bars do not update properly. If I am in bear form with 0 rage, and shift to caster with full mana, my mana bar will show 0 mana until I do something to make my actual mana change. I've also run into problems with health on target not changing when I change targets until I hit the next target. If I am attacking one target at low health, switch targets while turning off autoattack so I don't actually hit the second target, ag_UF will show the new target at the same health as the old one, despite the fact that the game health bars (over the head) show it at full health. 3 - THERE IS NO PVP FLAG. I do a lot of world pvp on a normal server. I have seen no means for knowing if I'm flagged. Does anyone know how to fix these problems? |

Ok I keep on gettting a error whenever I try to use the command /target "name". It keeps on saying that ag_unitframes is trying to do something that only the blizzard ui can do. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

i have a problem ....
i just cant get my group pet bar to show plz help .... i tryed aguf config and make sure hide frame wasnt checked and still doesnt have group pet bar up plz help |

When I attempt to Duel someone I get an error that causes the Frames to be disabled by WoW, then you revert to the original Blizzard Frames. Below is the error... ag_UnitFramse has been blocked from an action onyl available to the Blizzard UI. You can disable this Addon and Reload the UI. Choices: Disable / Ignore (pressing ignore stops the duel and the frames are not disabled) This error however does not occur if someone challenges me, only if I challenge them. |
Has anyone had problems when dragging frames that they get stuck on the mouse? I find the only way to fix this is to restart WOW.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Check www.wowace.com, I believe I saw a ACE based casting bar mod there that is updated for 2.0. I can't remember off the top of my head what it is called though. Sorry.

buffs, debuffs, and party pets all need work
First, party pets do not appear at all. I've installed this mod on two computers and hunter's pet's health bars do not appear. I do *not* have "hide frames" checked for party pets. All healers need to see this info.
Second, party buffs and party debuffs need to be in seperate rows so we can see which is which at a glance. Third, the only place that the buff/debuff icons can go is to the right side becuase there is no space between the party units. Space between party units needs to be adjustable. |
I'm having an issue where when i enable ag_unitframes, and target someone, a bastardized version of the blizzard target still shows up. Any idea how to fix this?

found out it was clashing with archaeologist. I had it disabled but not unloaded which was causing the problem.

Hey... I just downloaded the r20705 version. And I can see must people get what they want.. No more party frame when you raid, but I like to have it.. How do I get the party frame back in raid??
Why are there not a option, so people can make the decision them self. But a cool and easy mod. |
Alt rightclick the party frame, and unselect "Hide party fram in raid".

anyone know how i get rid of this annoying player options tooltip when i click on someone on the ag unit frames. kinda annoying being a healer as it over laps 3-4 people.

ag_unitframes party pets
I still can't figure out how to display party pets. I can't see health bars for the hunter's pets in my party.

I'm also still not getting party pets to show. For my fellow healers waiting for a fix for this issue, I do have a tip. Use the focus target frame, drag it over to join your party frames, and set /focus on the most important pet. You'll have to reacquire the focus target occasionally, but it's better than not being able to see the pet at all.
Also, I had a weird issue with one of my characters. I have two dwarf priests, one level 60, one level 39. The level 60 character, when in a 4- or 5-member group, cannot click-target the 4th person. (Click targeting works fine for the player frame and the 2nd. 3rd, and 5th group members.) The level 39 character does not have this problem - she can click target all group members. I suspect this has something to do with sUnitFrames or oRA2, since these are the only two mods the level 60 has loaded that the level 39 does not. I will try to test this further, but as it requires at least three other patient and cooperative people to join a group and sit around while I mess with my UI, it might take a while. ;) |
party pets continued
We are not alone with this party pet problem, I've talked with many people now who have the same issue. I'm amazed this hasn't been fixed yet, this is a huge problem with this mod.

call me an idiot (plz dont :) ) but i cant find an option to hide the frames when in a raid.
sure i checked "hide party frame when in raid" but that still leaves my own and my pets frame. i use grid for raiddisplay (setup to only display in raids) and i would like to use the same screenspace for ag_unitframes (with needler portraits) when solo or in party. am i missing something here or should i make it a feature request ? |
Since version r23628 my combo points are not showing up on the target frame. Have i missed an option to activate them or is this feature broken?

I was just wondering.. ever since enemy cast-bar can be displayed in the bottom now... I can't see my combo points (playing a rogue)... did combo points go awol or?? is there a way I can get combo points back without disabling the enemy cast bar (with is useful for knowing when to kick the target to interrupt spellcasting)

I thought they had disappeared too, but I had the target castbar hidden which in turn hid the combo points as well...

Although the new castbar is nice I miss the good old Blizz cast bar because it is bigger and more easily trackable as a healer. The small, integrated castbar just doesn't pop out to make me see I'm actually casting or my cast has been canceled and I have to start over.

My god! Fix the damn Party pets!
Decided to give aG a try as I'm switching a lot of stuff to ace2... Came from x-perl I did, and I still cannot believe, after looking back through a few posts, that party pets isn't showing!
I think I'll stick to x-perl with my main UI's and aG for general muckin around..:) |
To Skan and anyone else who needs to see party pets: Some time ago a temporary fix was put in for the party pet issue (the authors are working on a permanent solution, but apparently it's not so easy to implement as it might seem). Type:
/aguf pettest This will put the petbars in the middle of the screen, and you can then drag them to wherever you would like to see them. It is still occasionally buggy (sometimes a pet's bar shows twice if another pet leaves the group; I had a pet's name disappear once after he was died and then ressed; and the petframes will not hide in a raid with the rest of the UI) but as a healer, I have never had a problem using this feature to keep my party's pets alive. To the authors of this mod: You rock. Even with things not completely stable post-2.0, this has become my favorite unit frames package. You have made a complete convert of me from Discord. :) |
