RDX9 The concept of TabManager

4 Attachment(s)
The concept of TabManager:
It is working like the tabChatFrames of Blizzard. Entirely rewritten from scratch.
You can create one, two or more tabmanager.
You can switch the tab position on the fly in a tabmanager
You can close a tab from the first tabmanager and add it to the second tabmanager.

Options:
You can customize the size, the backdrop and the fonts of the tabmanager, it will be apply to all tab childrens.

At the moment there are three types of tab :
Chatframe (the chatframe engine has been entirely rewritten to not use the default awful ChatFrame)

CombatLogs (entirely rewritten also)

Window
You can convert a single unit window as a TabWindows (from the explorer, use shift + right click to convert a window)

I am going to work on adding more tab type, like map, damage meter etc ...

See in the theme Sitrax how the tab manager is created.

Cheers

Hi there, Is there anyway to get this chat out of the RDX packet, i mean, just make a chat addon with this layout, options. I find this TabManager very interesting for my UI, but I don't need all the extra functionality (and memory usage) that RDX adds to Blizz's default UI.

Thank you for the hard work!

I think the answer is no...

For simple reason: The chat tab need RDX and VFL (venificus framework Library)..

You can test to separate and just make Tabmanager work separetly, but you have to keep all function from VFL and RDX.. I think it's no very optimized..

Let's Know the sigg's response for the verity !

Hello

It is complicated.

But you can extract yourself the code you need because RDX is full opensource. GPL3

cheers
