Building a recipe item <-> skill database?

I would like to check if alts have already learned a spell/tradeskill taught by a particular recipe item.

There seems to be no other way than to maintain a database linking recipes to what they teach.
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/libcraftinfo used to do this but has been abandoned for years.

In his last post of 2013 Thaoky implies that he is doing some datamining of wowhead.
Was he talking about some kind of webcrawler? Modern wowhead will surely have captchas in place to prevent such things.

Any other ideas how to build such a database?

I have an addon that tells me in the tool tip if one of my alts has or could learn stuff from recipes or scrolls I think it is altaholic but no 100% sure

Yeah, exactly! :-)

Altoholic uses the LibCraftInfo I mentioned. It is by the same author.

There seem to be entries in his database up to WoD but not beyond.

ah ok I haven't really been paying attention to it lately with the new content as most of the tradskills are a waste of time I just notice it as I'm selling the old stuff on my alts sorry
