is there a way to

disable the carbonite mini map in battlegrounds? so that it doesnt pop up everytime i open the reg map too? its quite annoying in bgs

No option exists for that. The Carb map shows a variety of useful info in a BGs. Why would you want the Blizzard full screen map?
