I'll post mine anyhow. The patch notes are up on the beta forums and MMO-Champion already though. :)

Strange. At first mine said I needed about 200MB base, once that was done I could actually press the play button and open the client (only to see the realms offline). Now it says I need 987.2MB base and I've got a whole lot of downloading to do before I can play.

I believe that initial 200-ish megs is a setup file (What the streaming launcher sees as a setup ie. the very basic foundation of the game) and the rest is the actual content.
This is just my guessing with observation and looking at the log files and such.
My peer to peer is turned off too which speeds the download up for me immensely. Not sure if that's off by default, I believe it is.

Somehow, the new launcher is just more... professional looking.

Looks like the servers are coming back up.

They've been "up" for about an hour or so.
I use quotes on the word up because Lost Isles seems to be having some... issues.

Actually, Goblins are broken at the moment - loading/playing a goblin crashes the beta. o.O It's in the news when you try to log in.

Goblins broken, Worgen are worging ... err, working. :p

For me, it was the opposite. For the first time, I was able to play a goblin. I got him to level 5, but couldn't do "Life of the Party" quest. The special abilities you need to do at the party show you're in range of the party-goer (red number changes to grey when in range), but it's like they are, umm, out of ammo (for lack of a better phrase). You have the ability but lack the "stuff" to do them.

I just tried logging into a Worgen and crashed. He was only level 13, so I deleted him. I restarted the client and re-created him, crashed. I restarted and selected him and crashed. (Mind you, I didn't get to tell the client I wanted to play. As soon as I tried to select the worgen, client crashed. I'll keep playing with it.)

I really enjoyed the Worgen zone, but I also liked the Goblin zone.

So, for me, Worgens no and Goblins yes but level-locked.

Actually the goblins are working and they've broken Worgen.
The news about goblins being borked is no longer Breaking news (posted at the login screen(pics or it didn't happen(see below))).

I was able to make and play a Goblin.

Of course I had to figure out how to stop this lovely error first. It happened when I'd move. :(
Deleting the cache and the cache from the data folder (Have to do both) worked perfectly.

The Goblin starting area though sure is... erm... interesting. :rolleyes:

YAY it went back to the original login screen that was my favorite by far. i didnt really need to see a big huge dragon flying out of nowhere while on the login screen for 10 seconds.

Yeah I like the old style login screen. I have to say it's my favorite too.
I never liked the Wrath one. Probably because the dragon deafened me and was very annoying until I made some audio files to shut him him.
I couldn't type my password fast enough and now that I have the authenticator, sheesh!
I'm sure we'll have Deathwing looking all smug at us eventually. I wish I could keep this original one though.

@Syxx Well I started a Worgen shortly after servers where back a few hours ago. Goblin didn't work for me, though. Funny thing. :rolleyes:

The art style of the new launcher is definitely professional looking, I just wish they had not borrowed the colour palette from Quake. I had enough of muted brown and black colour schemes years ago.

The launcher/downloader is just crashing with a memory violation on Windows 7 for me. I have to disable P2P to make it stop crashing.

While it did manage to download 99.99% of the client, it now just says 524.3 KB remaining, and continues to download at about 1 megabyte per second, none of that data is being written to disk. After a few hours of wasted bandwidth, I closed the downloader/launcher.
