What could have happened
Last night prior to that little patch all my mods seemed o.k. , then I logged onto WoW and it said it had to patch, so it seemed to take a minute so I left it running. Came back a few hours later and it was still at 0% , I had to force WoW to shut down. I ran the updater again and it seemed fine.....but everything is not fine. In game I a checkered landscape, chat bubbles above npc's are all garbled, and input into any chat is garbled while typing until I hit enter..and sometimes it's still garbled, mailbox frame and other frames are all pix-elated, icons in my bag are all garbled and at vendors ( along with tooltips).
If I turn all mods off it seems o.k. , I have tried the elimination process but it's not pinpointing. I tried deleting my wtf folder and still getting the problems. I ran the Blizz repair, still nothin. Only thing I can see is reloading WoW.... |
Update your video card drivers.
|
NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
ATI: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx Need help finding the model of your video card? The easiest way is my right-clicking your desktop and go to Properties/Personalize > Display Settings. It should state it there. |
Thanks! That seems to have fixed the issue, I should have known better :( .

No worries :)
Just remember that WoW is dependent on updated video drivers. Be sure to check your video card manufacturers web site often and check for updates. |
