Status of 6.X?
 

Is there ever going to be a full version anytime soon? I haven't heard much of anything lately. Starting to research new ui to use, getting tired of waiting for non GA code. The current state of 6.X lacks feature sets that I want.

I am withholding new releases until I can get nUI6 to beta state. I don't have a timeline at present. I *may* release another alpha just to fix anything that needs fixing for the 4.2 patch... but otherwise, nothing until nUI6 is ready for beta.

After doing some tweaking even reinstalled nui6. The only thing that really annoys me is the General / Combat window does not fit into the left side pane. It runs over the two left bars that I have spells in.

Tried fixing it with moveanything but I can resize it any smaller. Any ideas?

All you have to do for those is to mouse over the upper left corner of the combat log so it tab displays and is highlighted... right click the tab and select "Unlock" -- you can then drag the combat log's tab onto the general tab and drop it -- that will dock the combat log to the chat frame.

Now, select the general tab then right click it -- again, select unlock -- you can now move the whole chat frame around as well as grab the bottom right corner to resize it... so, size it down to something small and then drag the frame so the top left corner aligns with the top left of the dashboard. When you have the top left corner where you want it, grab the bottom right corner and drag it to size the chat frame to fit in the area provided for it.

When you have the chat frame where you want it, right click the general tab again and select the "lock" option.

Or just do reset chat box.

I know how to move it, however the space where it should go at isn't big enough. See attached. That is even with the smallest font selected.

thats a common issue where the combat log dosnt sit inline with the chatlog, rightclick on the combat tab, click unlock, move the combat log away from the chat log then move it back in and it will allign properly.

It won't line up see the attached screenshot.

In 6.X will you be able to move the action bars without moving the frame modifier or the rep/xp bar?

It looks like you are using either a very large font or a large UI scale... that may be part of the problem. However, the combat log should still dock to the chat frame, I've had no problems with that.

Meh... odds are that frames will still be related to one another (you kind of have to in order to make things fit in any display resolution) but you'll be able to move them independently (i.e... when you move one bar, the other one will move too, but then you can move the other bar after that fact to put it where you want it, too)

I have it the smallest font possible and it still won't dock. 1680x1050 (Wide) windowed mode. Smallest font size I can go to is 12.

Turn off all addons and see if you can dock it then.

Sounds to me like you have a conflict.

whats your UI Scale set to?

hmm I have smallest scale and average font usually and don't have problems usually once I resize .. I'll double check next time I log in.

Okay these are the screenshots from my log in since the last PTR patch and I believe I have the font set at the default.

It doesn't fit in those pics cause of the chat buttons. If you use a chat mod to hide / move those it should fit nicely without much resizing.
