UltraEdit for free!
 

That's right folks. You can get UltraEdit, which is normally 60 bucks, for free! The website of the German computer magazine Chip has a special event for this year's Christmas. From the first to the 24th December, they released a full version of a program each day. On the 22nd, this was UltraEdit!

I'm not sure if you can get it outside of Germany; you should give that a try. Get it here. Fill in some details: style (Herr = mister, Frau = miss; I don't think you can translate this directly into English, just select the appropriate..thing), name (Vorname), surname (Nachname) and your e-mail address. You'll get some kind of activation link via e-mail, just click that. Shortly after, you'll get your activation details and the download link.

I could get it here in Canada, but it was a German translation. So as a non programmer I couldn't tell what was what but still cool that it's free :)

I didn't put a thought into that..dammit.
