Fraps addon

Hello.

Im Searching for a addon where i can start recording, stop recording, see how long time i have been recording and my FPS.
Anyone know of Addon like that?:)

Fraps itself provides all of these services (except possibly for time recorded). I use Fraps myself and can confirm it. ;)

Minor edit: To add to this, I'd like to point out that no addon can interact with any non-WoW code or program, so the only way to show these data and allow these global hotkeys for starting and stopping recording is to use Fraps and/or another program to interact with Fraps in order to show an (non-recorded) overlay with this information.

I know that you can see the FPS in the corner and it goes red when your record. :)
- What i was thinking of was to have a small bar with all these options

Not possible. In game ad dons cannot interact with out of game programs, well they can but only via saved var files and well it wouldnt work for what you want.

But i use a program called PlayClaw.
It records like fraps and has overlay's for video file, fps, teamspeak and vent, as well ac video card and processor load and temp. Very easy to use. Record the video, drop it into vdub, convert it and upload to youtube. I make full 1080p recordings with it.

Sample Video.

Myeah, see my minor editing - an addon cannot communicate with a non-WoW piece of code.

Thanks for your answer. - Im looking for a program like that now. :p

What an addon could possibly do is show you on the screen the time between two different hotkey presses. Say for example you have start/stop recording bound to F6. An addon in the game could then detect when you press F6, start a counter on the screen (which would be recorded), and then stop it once you hit F6 a second time.

Tried PlayClaw myself and I like it. I didn't buy it though, because you can use all features without limitations and I don't care for the watermark. I only capture short footage anyway. :)

I agree. If you check my video i linked above you can see the watermark. It really doesn't bother me esp for videos that we put on the guild website so people can research the fight.

Silly question...is that oUF Caellian?

Nobgul 02-04-11 01:46 PM

It is. I modified a tab bit but prob nothing that would visually impact it. I don't think anyway lol

If you play WoW on a Macintosh, included is an in-game video recorder (as a part of the UI).

Nobgul 02-04-11 03:10 PM

Ah yer i forgot about that feature.

This is clearly a balance issue and should be dealt with by Blizzard as soon as possible. Preferrably yesterday. *sagenod*
