Death Sickness Icon

Is there a place for my death sickness icon? I dont see it anywhere so its hard to know when its worn off.

Curumtiny 07-12-09 03:55 PM

It is on the Hud in the middle.

spiel2001 07-12-09 05:13 PM

Actually... on the upper left for the player/target and health/power huds and just left of the health race bar in the simple hud.

Neezy 07-12-09 05:19 PM

I am death sick right now, my HUD is up and I for some reason dont see it on my HUD.

spiel2001 07-12-09 05:30 PM

Which hud mode are you using?

Do you have maxauras set to 0?

Neezy 07-12-09 05:32 PM

I went to take a screenshot to post it and now I cant even find the screenshot folder in my WOW folder any longer. Did they remove that?

Neezy 07-12-09 05:36 PM

I use Player/Target but I checked all the ones you said and dont see it on any of the HUDs. I had max auras set to max but put it to the minimum of 1 and still dont see it.

spiel2001 07-12-09 06:03 PM

If you're on a vista machine, your screen shots will be in /Users/Games/World of Warcraft

Set '/nui maxaura 15' and then look at the top left of the player/target HUD just below your name -- of course, I have to assume the rez sickness is worn off by now.

Neezy 07-12-09 09:34 PM

Strange. I am on Vista but that path doesnt exist. I adjusted my aura to 15 and still am not seeing it. :(

Search for "nUI.toc" and see what path it shows up in... your screencaps will be off of the WoW directory in one of the paths that shows up.

Hmm that is very weird then as it looks like nUI isn't on your computer at all. You are posting here because you are using nUI ? Or just for a general query ? If the latter then your auras will probably be in the top right hand corner and you should see it amongst there. If you have logged out for a reasonable amount of time it will disappear anyway.

If you are using nUI or downloaded it to use it you should have a nUI.toc file on your computer. If you don't find out if you have a nUI*.* file anywhere just in case you didn't get round to extracting it after downloading.

I found it, manually in my NUI folder. For some reason when searching for it, my laptop couldnt locate it. Yes, I use NUI. I'm a HUGE fan and supporter. I still am not seeing the rez sickness icon however. :(

Edit* the path its located in is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\nUI

Neezy, I had a very weird time with WoW for a while right after Lich King came out. I'm running Vista, and for some (unremembered as of now) reason I needed to totally reinstall WoW. Now Windows installed WoW to the C:\users\blah\blah path. Apparently it defaults to that if you don't manually change it and I wasn't paying attention at the time and just oked it. The problem was, my original WoW folders were still under C:\progam files\world of warcraft. Being as I didn't notice the change in installation folders, I commenced to dowload dozens of addons to the wrong folder. To make a long story short (far too late, I know) I'm wondering if maybe you're not having a similar problem?

Neezy 07-13-09 10:31 PM

I thought that may also be a problem and searched my computer for all WOW folders and didnt find any others. All my addons work and seem to be installed in the correct location as well. :(

Rofl that is exactly what happened to me over in the States on my computer there when I went over there for a few weeks after Lich King came out. I was trying to figure out why my fiances addons were continuting to appear instead of my ones. Rofl.

Also, I have also noticed the search system in vista is a bit useless and doesn't seem to find alot of stuff. I actually started using the find in files search in visual studio to find files containing text I was looking for :D

I'm using Windows 7 now so hopefully that problem doesn't appear here.

I'm reaallly wishing I could afford an upgrade to 7 when it comes out. I've heard nothing but good about it.

Well, you could do what I did. Get hold of the Release Candidate which is a free download and sign up for a key. It will last until May/June 2010 by which time you will have either got the full version ready to install or go back to your old one.

Rofl, I had it easy. My mother, and 3 brothers are all using it so I already had a CD handy to install from. I just needed to get the key which you get prior to the download :D
