Mailbox 60 second limit
 

It would be nice if the mailbox limit was raised from 50 or the refresh time was lowered. I regularly cancel 500-2500 auctions multiple times a day and its such a time waster to have to camp the mailbox for and hour getting only 50 of them at a time. Ive heard that its because of hackers but I dont know what the mailbox 60 second rule does to prevent "hacking"

I timed it and found that postal takes about 30-35 seconds to grab all 50 mails so if Blizz lowered it to 30 seconds refresh that would be perfect. Maybe I am the only one to even cares?

I care...I hate how long I have to sit on my auction toon to get the next set of 50 items

They are timing it for latency sensitive operations on the servers, calculations within vanilla beta and there after have shown lag spikes to originate from intra-server communication by the mail system. Luckily they've managed to do cross faction mail with Heirlooms, offline mail is probably the next step and lowering the threshold of refresh would be too intensive for a web application to process if the server is loaded to capacity.

Even better would be if mail was used for mail, and auction house for auction house. Just get your money you earned or the auctions you cancelled at the auction house, not at the mailbox. I mean comon, who sends 5000g over the mail?

Just do a /console reloadui, it resets the timer.
