Known issue with npc scan. try disabling it, to see if that helps. See http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=50782 for more details

It's funny how it seems there's a lot of ppl out there who has issues with NPCScan and Carbonite running at the same time.
I've used the 2 above mentioned addons on several different toons of both factions and a variety of lvl's and NEVER had an issue with them working together... And we're talking 7+ years... Not saying that it should work, just that it's odd that it doesn't.... Could it be another addon clashing? Also, if you got NPCScan Overlay, disable it and leave Carb and npcscan running and see if that solves anything. If not, shut the game down, cut the cache+wtf+addons folder to another location. start the game, log in to a toon. wait for everything to load and the shut the game down again... Now take the new cache+wtf+addons folder and place it somewhere else and then copy the first 3 cache+wtf+addons back in to their original location and start the game, log in to a toon and wait for everything to load. I know it sound like gibberish, but it has worked several times for me over the past 10 years.. Anyway, if it doesn't work there's only 1 more thng that might will... disable ALL addons and turn them back 3-4 at a time... it's time consuming and may not help one bit, but without trying it you're nowhere closer to knowing IF (and only IF) it's another addon that's screwing with you.. Troubleshooting takes time - alot of time, but well worth the effort afterwards. Cheers Swirrel. |
Also try enabling "Enable Combat Compatibility Mode" in Carbonite General options tab.

It doesn't have to be a carbonite issue... It could as well be NPCScan.... Either way, post the bug to the person who handles NPCScan and remember to tell said person that you've also posted it here and throw a link in to your post.
People are much more willing to try and fix something if you help them in the right direction :) |
The issue with NPCScan has always been that it tries to detect Carbonite, before Carbonite is loaded. So it usually resulted in 1 or 2 errors coming up during login that don't repeat or happen again after that.

In Wholly I just put Carbonite in the OptionalDep list. The real issue is things like NxMap1 does not exist until Nx.Map.Open is called so we have to dance around a bit. Perhaps NPCScan can figure out the dance it needs to do with Carbonite to make things behave better. :-)

Best would be doing the same thing the Carbonite modules do, checking for if "Nx and Nx.Initialized then" before trying to use any Carb functions.

Just as easily fixed on our side by adding
If not Nx.Initialized then return end at the top of ClipZoneFrm. Or getting more specific and if level then frm:SetFrameLevel (level) end at the point it's having an error. |

Update to latest from github. I tried to make workaround like Rythal sugested. Test it and tell me if this helped.
