High suggested minbid and buyout prices with KC_Items?

I recently tried the latest KC_Items and was a little confused at the seemingly high auction prices calcuated by the mod. Something as simple as bandages being 4g minbid seemed a little strange to me. Also, there was one item in my inventory that the minbid was higher than the buyout. Unfortunately I did not write what item it was down. If need be, I can check to see if I still have it to hopefully document it.

I compared the suggested prices to Auctioneer to see if it was just slight differences and in the few items I inspected, KC_Items prices were substantially higher.

Is this a bug with the database or with the mod or something completely different? I'm confused. I really like the idea of a much smaller memory footprint utilized by KC_Items and would like to use it as a replacement.

I am using the latest PeriodicTable too if that has anything to do with it.

in my experiance if I did fresh scans one rigght after another with both addons then things where very close.

It could be that people on your server have had a sudden price hike on some things.

Ah, that could be it. I forgot that prices were skyrocketing due to the War Effort. I don't recall if I updated Auctioneer's scan also. *Hits head* Thanks for your quick response . :)

One other thing I have noticed recently. On my server (Proudmore), there is one *sshole who is posting one of a ton of craftable items, at prices 100* market value. I believe this is to force price hikes on those of us who may rely on AH scans for pricing.

I have seen an auction for 1 x Major healing potion routinely going for 50G bid, 100G BO. Its their everyday almost. He does it to herbalism mats, pots, crafted bags, and a few other items I have noticed. No clue how many others I have not yet.

I always do a search now, before I post anything to see what current market price is at. May not be this, but you never know.

I just did a simple test with a stack of 5 essences of water:

KC_Items
-Min bid: 51g 27s 65c
-Buyout: 43g 15s 75c

Auctioneer
-Min bid: 52g 16s 10c
-Buyout: 55g 63s 50c
-Suggested Prices: 37g 95s to 47g 50s

Those were after recent scans done just now. The min bid and buyouts for other items are similar. It was the suggested price that was throwing me off earlier, but here's a case of the buyout being less than than the min bid. This wasn't the same item from before, however. I remember that much. Any idea why that happened?

you can set a precentage to undercut the market in auctionbroker to adjust your price suggestion.

I'm not sure exactly what the difference in buyout would be from. hmm

Yeah, I've seen the undercut options and fixed that. I was just saying that was the reason for my earlier confusion. Any ideas on the higher min bid?

was this a single stack or multiple stack?

afi133 01-10-06 01:04 AM

What do you mean? This was 1 stack of 5 essences of water.

I'll reexamine my code to see if there is something I've missed.

Cool, let me know what happens. I really like this mod.
