Cosmos
 

Ok so I downloaded cosmos, put it in the interface folder in the wow folder, i then start the game and type in my pass and username it goes but it stops at Autirizing ????? whats up with this????

thats the wonderful Bliz login server. nothing to do with Cosmos. Give it time should clear up.

Cosmos works, *if you don't enable the entire bloody thing*.

if I were you, I would log in, with Cosmos installed, Click on the 'AddOn' button and disable anything you don't use.

Cosmos is going through some major fixes and upgrades now. Some VERY VERY LONG TIME needed upgrades. This I like and since I have like 50% of Cosmos disabled (through the AddOn Screen) I'm more than happy to weed through as Cosmos updates itself.

Thats excactly what i did, i have like 10% thought.....
i still like ctmod the best.....

I too was a previous cosmos user. I recently switched to CTMod and my world of warcraft experience has tripled in fun.


Cosmos, in my opinion, started to become poorly written and it had that "rushed" feeling to it every time i installed a new version.

CT has that "polished and finished" feel to it. :)

CT is my primary mod for what it has within. It's more upto date than Cosmos, but there are things in Cosmos I just can't live w/out (ItemBuffs for example and I prefer's MooBuff mod over CT mod).

CTMod has weapon buffs :) It shows them under your normal buffs.

But I don't like CT's buff mod. :)

I don't need to know the names. Unlike EQ, WoW has a large varity of buffs icons, no need to know the name cause a certain buff icon is used for 10 buffs.

I use GotMoo Buff Mod which shows the icons in the original place with a single timer under them. That's all I need and CT_Mod doesn;t have that functionality. :(

Yes it does. That was one of the updates in 1.7. You can either run with the CT style buffs, or the traditional WoW style with a timer underneath.

But, as with everything else, there's not a thing wrong with preferring A instead of B. If A is what you like, run with it. :)
