SmartPet for WoW Classic
 

There was an addon for Vanilla WoW that made Hunter pet management so much easier and convenient - it was called "SmartPet". It would basically manage the focus of your pet to always have enough focus for important abilities (e. g. Growl), would automatically disable Taunt in dungeons/PvP and would make your pet not chase fleeing targets.

Upon reading about the API changes it becomes clear that an addon like this probably won't work in Classic due to the protected functions and keypress-requirements for pet-abilities/-movement... sad :/
