Does overriding default sounds still work?
 

Putting empty sound files in Data\Sound\... used to override and mute default sounds; but I can't get this working in 6.0.2.

Can anyone else reproduce this?

Edit: Sound, not Sounds.

Works for me. I always put them in WoW\Sound rather than WoW\Data\Sound. Dunno if that's the breaking factor. (also Sound, not Sounds, not sure if that was a mistake on your part)

The actual folder is called Sound, Sounds was just an error in my post.

I'll try move it into the main WoW folder.

Thanks Lombra. You've made my day. This has been a big problem for me the whole time playing 6.0. I can confirm also moving from \Data\Sound to \Sound works well.

Is there a list somewhere of all combatty shouts, grunts, and slashy sounds? I hate that part of playing with sound on but without non-caster combat sounds it could be enjoyable
