Go there, it's a Windows Explorer Shell replacement. That is instead of using the standard start bar and explorer you'll use another program called Litestep. A million and a half themes for it. If you're not interested in replacing explorer you can customize your start bar w/ themes from customize.org and other places like that.

I love that Linux desktop. I wish I had the balls to drop Windows and go Linux.

I'm too lazy to make any thumbs so... Desktop. I've also put some effort into integrating the applications I normally use into the current look. An example would be Firefox.

how did you get litestep to work? It messed up my computer.

er... downloaded it to c:/ and ran it? I didn't do anything special :D

I used to try an customize my computer to make it how I wanted. I would change my fonts, color schemes, etc, but had given up recently. Thanks to this thread, I have new toys to play with. :D This is how it looks at the moment, though I downloaded tons of stuff so I can change it up regularly. :P I have ADD when it comes to how my desktop looks. :p

I don't mess around with it that much, but I cannot stand the defaults anymore.

Lifestep looks great, but after reading about it, it looks scary too. Any easy way to get cool themes?

This what I use, have never had a problem. IMO litestep, windowblinds ='s bloat, but just an opinion.

This program will patch your uxtheme.dll file so you can use any 3rd party visual style on Windows XP/SP1/SP2 and Windows Server 2003/SP1. File protection dialogs should be cancelled and a reboot is required after using this patch.

i like lifstep myself...but..to be safe...hide ur IP :) well if its default i guess its cool but i've seen hax that are blocked from reading certain areas then slam ur desktop...like blizz's warden reads desktops..but anyways..very nice!!!
