Downloads per file/version?
 

Hi,

is it possible to see the downloads per version or at least since the last update?

I dont have it broken down into version releases yet however I am working on better download stats. (I plan to add hash marks on the graph for version release dates)

It's kinda hidden at the moment while I test but this is data gathered by google analytics for downloads from our website and Minion broken down by day. Just visit your addon page and in the URL change "info" to "stats" to see the stats page (eg /downloads/stats8814-DeadlyBossMods.html). I'm still validating how accurate this is or isn't, it only counts downloads from the website if the browser has javascript enabled to allow google analytics to count the download. The majority of our visitors do have it enabled.

Also right now its currently capped at a rolling 30 day history.

I took a look at the stats page for mageports addon (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...gePortals.html) and apparently I have had no downloads at all in the last 30 days rofl.

However, looking at my nUI/Decursive plugin (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...Decursive.html) perhaps there is something wacky going on, or its currently not doing what I am expecting.

What is the difference between Unique Downloads and Total Downloads?

Seems to work fine for some AddOns but not others.

Unique only counts 1 download for each person a day. How google analytics tracks this, I'm not 100% certain. I know its more than just by ip address.

Total downloads is how many times the button was clicked regardless, so if one person clicked the download button 100 times in a day. Uniques would be 1, Total would be 100.

I'm really glad to see the download stats like these, even if they aren't perfectly accurate. I too would like a per-file count if that can be arranged, esp when files haven't been updated in the last 30 days :)
