I'm glad I came to these forums before...

I'm glad I came to these forums before downloading the "new" version of Carbonite. I will most definitely avoid the official version like the plague, and continue using Rythal's wonderful fan update...

Edit: Finally got it working again. Apparently, Minion doesn't work with Java version 7. If you're like me and can't do without Minion, be sure to install Java version 6 (google it, easy to find)...
