ah thank you much. i never had this problem with my old laptop but then again....this is my first time building a pc so a lot of this is just uncharted territory for me.

oooh ok that makes sense. wasn't even aware minion did clean installs. that's pretty neat. how would i go about checking to see if my files are protected from writing and, by extension, fix it?

updating addons that dont need updated

just built myself a new pc, xferred over all my addons and wtf folder from my old laptop. downloaded minior shortly thereafter and launched. it comes up with 16 or so interfaces needing updated,...
