Or you could put mana on the name bar along with the numerical HP value, or put it on the bars themselves, but hide them when overlayed with AFK, OOR, or whatever. You can see your total health/mana and current health/mana in the HUD displays (except for simple HUD layout.. i think ... )
these numbers are along the left edge of the HUD display
