I wonder if it would be a good idea to separate the Carbonite addon and the database of gathering locations. That way you can regularly update the database without us waiting for you to implement new features for a new Carbonite release.

Other similar addons does the same:

-Cartographer vs Cartographer_Data
-Gathermate vs Gathermate_Data
