This isn’t an official term or anything. It means the addon has an option or mode that reduces its memory usage. I would suggest not using it since memory usage is not a performance issue. More than likely, reducing memory uses more CPU to get the info you’re no longer saving in memory. CPU usage is what you want to reduce.
