Hmm, I see. And apparently unless you buy an iMac with a pre-installed SSD, installing one yourself is a very tricky process and likely to void the warranty. Add that they force you into a 256gb SSD as the only option...
Well, it'll depend on your circumstances. I probably wouldn't pay the extra $500 for the QoL boost an SSD gives, but it sure would be annoying to live without an SSD (they make everything so snappy, and no more grinding HDDs)
