The course was worthless as it had too many breaks in it - we would go hard out for an hour then call for a break. I don't think anyone on that course actually retained anything they learnt.
It's really not that hard to do - the important part is being completely ready for the test when you go to do it. When I did it you had to pay a fee to sit the exam and if you blew it you didn't get a refund
You should also to look into doing Net+ as well

I had a couple friends take a course too, but they also got barely anything out of it. So, I just got a big book to help me study. I've also found several sites that have tools to help you study.
I think I want to take Security+ and Network+ after
Always good to have certifications. Especially in the computer industry.
