Journal Entry: Day ??
It's getting harder to remember. How long have I been in this dark place? There are no doors, no windows, no means of entrance or egress, so how did we all come to be here? Who placed us here, and for what purpose?
One of the others whispers that we placed ourselves here, and we await that which will free us. When asked, he replies that we seek after a "key", but how can this be true? There is no lock, no door to which a key would fit. Truly, this poor delusional creature has given in to madness. Am I the only sane one left?
Final Entry: Salvation has come at last. Sweet freedom is ours, the key has arrived, and we are carried out of darkness and into a bright and well-lit place. A voice whispers to us, "Come, your wait is over. Come, and be welcome in this new and fertile land, this paradise we call Beta."
Rapture fills my soul, but a small dark corner of my mind wonders: Are we truly free, or have we merely exchanged one set of shackles for another?
