EditingUI: A few years old

Not sure this is the right place to post this, but here goes:

I came across the Blizzard EditingUI addOn the other day. Looking at the features, I thought that it could be really useful. Trouble is, it was last updated for patch 2.2, and now it doesn't work. I've started to debug it, but the way it's written is absolutely appalling. Before I start putting too much effort in, I was wondering whether there were any addons out there that did the same thing. I've had a quick look in the Developer Tools section, but can't find anything.

Any information would be highly appreciated.
