Carb will not use flight paths

I am having an issue with carb not using flightpath info when i use goto and quest tracker. well it never uses it i just get a arrow and 30k yards. Anyone have ideas on how to get it to use this info? I have been to Flight Master, figuring if I open the flight path screen it would auto learn them..... No Joy.

I generally see carb doing this (or not doing it) when the destination is on a different continent. IOW, it doesn't take zeppelins (or ships I would guess) into account. And 30K yds sure sounds like a different continent.
