i guess no one visit this thread anymore, but is there anyone going to update this great mod for 1.10? i could still use it fine w/ little bugs sometimes... i just can't play without CTA since i installed it

CallToArms R10

I have uploaded R10, which is basically the same as R9 but with a few small changes. More to come soon

Currently, CTA forwards local (now Global) Lfg messages to a global channel (CTAChannel), using the so-called 'lfx trigger' filters, so that all CTA users could browse a larger list of lfg and lfm messages. However, CTA also uses the global 'CTAChannel' channel to send updates of any CTA users who are advertising themselves or their groups on CTA. This CTA 'spam' is hidden from all players since non-CTA players do not join CTAChannel by default and CTA hides these messages for the CTA players.

Also, having CTAChannel would allow for 'pull' features such as letting CTA users submit search queries to other CTA users for information such as quest log entries and group member information.

So, in short, the CTA channel is not strictly needed for a global list of LFG messages, but would still be needed for other CTA specific features.

Is it possible to modify the default behavior from muting LFG and text showing on the main screen please.. the text thing is just horribly ugly, and I prefer to decide when I want LFG muted. I have it on a seperate tab as it is.

The next release of CTA will not showi non-lfg channel messages, such as GEM spam. Instead, R11 will only monitor the LFG channel. In order to do this, CTA's code must specify the name of the lfg channel. In English clients, the lfg channel is named "LookingForGroup", whereas in the German clients, the lfg channel is named "SucheNachGruppe". I still have to get the name of the lfg channel on French clients.

If anyone knows the channel name of the lfg channel on the French client, please post it for me and I will update CTA.

Could not find the beta thread for CTA so posting here:

I just uploaded CallToArms R11 beta 2 to here

Dont know how I missed this post earlier, but I think you will find that R11 beta 2 has what you want: The minimap text font has been changed to the chat text font, and the are 4 check boxes in the Search Options frame that control:
1. the muting of the lfg channel,
2. the use of the minimap icon text to show lfg messages,
3. the option to show filtered, colour-coded lfg messages in chat, and
4. the option for audible notification when the number of results increases

Check it out and let me know what you think

I think I fixed the bugs when German and French clients tried to parse lfg messages, please let me know if it works now. CTA will not show '<>' in the results if the player is not in a guild. The player level text boxes have been made longer. Let me know how it goes
