How to upgrade bongos to bongos 2 using mazzle UI?

I like this UI very much but recently I found out that bongos2 have a feature that allow u to right click and self cast. I like it a lot and would like to upgrade the current version(bongos) in mazzleUI to bongos2. However, I tried but seems like mazzle is bound to bongos.

Is there a way to upgrade it without having to leave mazzleUI? or an alternative selfcast woudl be nice too.

If you read the FAQ you would have read that mazzle already has a self and click casting mod integrated. Called Clique.

I know that, I m talking about selfcast, as in click it and it'll target you and cast the spell on you. No one else.

Yah but for that you need to not have anything targetted. I m a healer, its extremly un-helpful..

well i dont know about you guys but i have never ever had a problem right clicking to self cast and also beinga priest Healbot FTW Guess i just never had to

If you setup clique to cast your spells, then all you have to do is click on you character portrait to cast. Boom there ya go self casting. What more could you want. The game to play itself?

To the OP. For some reason, everyone seems to be overly attached to Bongos when talking about MazzleUI. Rather than making a post that shows the files in Mazzle's UI that point to Bongos and what it does, and saying what files/changes were made to Bongos to get it working so that someone with the time could make that change to Bongos2, there seems to be an air of keeping it mysterious. Why they would want to do that, especially for a mod where the author obviously doesn't intend to update it, is beyond me.

This isn't to downplay how truly extraordinary this mod is, or to minimize the phenomenal effort that Mazzle and his crew have put into making and keeping this mod updated. It's just that especially now that it's out of active updating status, and the original author doesn't even play anymore, to keep that information hidden and force people to use an outdated mod rather than open it up to allow some of the intelligent people here to fix it and eliminate the problem is a headscratcher.

It also is a bit boggling that no one has tried this on their own, but not knowing what code needs to be changed may be contributing to that.

lol.... It's not really mysterious at all. Mazzlefizz is who modified Bongos to work originally, and I'm sure if I did a diff between the original and Mazzle's, I could figure it out. But not sure I could translate that over to the needed Bongos2 changes. It's more a matter of time, not trying to hide anything, and right now getting Mazzle to a full working state is the most important. FWIW, Bongos2 isn't a NEEDED update. The original does work exactly as originally intended, it's just missing some Bongos2 features now. If it were a critical update, you'd be sure to see it either already updated to work with Mazzle or still in a broken state until someone could figure it out.

Well, except for the pet bar change thing. Had to disable add-ons to do chess event yesterday, but meh. :P

I just stated it's "mysterious" because I've seen this asked several times over the past six months (before 2.2 or 2.3 even), and no one seems to answer the question of how to do it, or even point in the right direction. The answers are always "bongos works, no need to upgrade" and it's dismissed. I'm curious about it too (for personal reasons I'm not a fan of the original bongos, but I use it because I'm not sure where to look to start changing the code without knowing what's "heavily modified" about it.)

So that's what I meant about "mysterious." The questions never get answered, they just get evaded by saying it's a heavily modified version of bongos, and there's no need to upgrade, without answering the original question of "how" to go about starting to upgrade it.

That's completely wrong. I've answered the question countless times. Moreover, the changes are also clearly described in the release notes and change logs, and anybody who is proficient enough in lua to implement changes can probably also run a diff program. Just because you can't seem to find the information doesn't mean that it's mysterious or there is a conspiracy to hide information. If somebody wants to make a modifed version of Bongos 2 that works with Mazzifier for me to include UI, I'm all for it.

I got a similar issue where bongos will not reset when I mazzify. Anyone know a fix for this? If it was posted somewhere else in forums, I apologize, but have not found it.

Bongos drives me nuts. For some reason the actionbar button space is bugged and I'm limited to how many spells/macros/items I can place in them overall. While I'm sure it's possible to modify a few lines of code to fix this, it just sounds like a smart move to go with the new version. Does anybody know of any similar to mazzle ace-based mod packs?

idk if its an actual problem or just his lvl but my warrior only has 4 buttons on his actionbar on the right side 2 on top and 2 on the bottom and also only 2 on the top left side, the normal racial bar is still the right size tough. should i update bongos to get them to normal?(if theyre even broken) ill get a screen shot up later today. is this even a bongos problem?
