Hi Scott,
sry, if this looks like just another 'How can I turn off .... in NUI', as it's not.

Maybe you can just put it onto your 'I'll give it a thought once I'll get sober' list.
Problem is, I hardly ever care about general buffs or debuffs. There are raid lead addons that serve just for the purpose to ensure everybody's buffed right before pull. There are debuffs, I want to know about, like # of stacks of Mystic Buffer at Sindragosa, NOTHING else is of interest to me during this fight. With my lock I do care about MC proc/buff and left time for decimation buff, if adds are part of fight mechanic. It's really hard to find 1-2 (de)buffs out of a changing list of 'useless-to-know' buffs let alone get their remaning time/# of stacks. Right now I run power auras just for MC and Decimation on my lock + trying to find a better debuff indicator addon just for the 1-2 debuffs I want to know of for some fights.

Next nice to have would be larger minmap when solo herbing or mining, maybe some 'farming mode' where these information about area under minimap are traded for larger map would solve it.

With these two issues solved NUI would be next to perfect to me, right now it's 'only' a really great addon.

You'll find that nUI6 does provide a significantly larger minimap as this is a common complaint with nUI5. In addition, it will also allow you to white list spells and auras, so that should address both issues once nUI6 goes live.
