All the information you need to get a error free mazzle is on the first post of this thread. It's updated every time there is a change or fix made just follow the directions.

2 errors

well just 2 errors after following the steps listed - the biggest thing is my 3d models not working. I have scanned the forums and it seems others have had the same problem but the solutions are not clear.

The infamous floating 3d character up in the upper left. Here are the errors:

The first error you have listed there looks to be a Discord Unit Frames error, did you install the new one yet?

The second is referencing line 88 of core.lua and telling you that the cvar is incorrect. Make sure that line is changed correctly and see if that drops your error.

GL man!

Do your models look right? If so do a Mazzification with DUF unchecked in the addon settings page and see if you still get the error.

I have a 100% functional 2.4 compatible version of MazzleUI running on my machine.. This morning when I got home I made a fresh install of WoW, BC, and all updates then downloaded and proceeded to do all of the manual code changes, downloaded the updated files, removed files that are no longer being supported and caused errors and have mazzlefied 4 toons (Warlock, Rogue, Priest, Hunter) with 0 errors in bug sack. I'm waiting for a response back from Aethenelle before I make it available for general use. Its not 100% Mazzle version 2.4, but it works as good as I can tell until we get updates for some remaining addons.

Still getting the same thing even if I uncheck DUF..

As far as models, I see the little 3d model up in the left corner but also see the red bar for my character portrait. There is a screen shot floating around the thread of exactly what I am seeing, but no explanation of how to fix it.

I have tried a variety of things and can't seem to get it corrected.

New DUF
New Ace2
Clean install

All the same results

Aethenelle can't give any such permission out. When he's done with his bug fix compilation and his updated add-on compilation, he'll post it.

Either DUF is getting an error before it loads the MazzleUI profile, or the Mazzifier had an error and did not set up the profile. Given your previous error about the database, it's almost certainly the latter. Remazzify the layout, DUF and Mazz3D. Make sure you don't get any errors at any point during the process.

I'd actually do a full mazzify since it may have skipped other things when you got your initial error.

Question Mazzifier.lua...access denied!

Originally Posted by Aethenelle View Post

The affected five lines are in Mazzifier/Mazzifier.lus and Mazzifier/Mazzifier_Configs.lua

First, we'll fix Mazzifier/Mazzifier_Configs.lua
line 349 reads:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNamePlayer", "0")
remove or comment out this line and add in the same location:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyPlayerName","0")
SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyPlayerName","0")
This performs the initial setting of the player nameplates.

Optionally, to mimic pre 2.4 setting for the other nameplates add:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNameCompanionName","0")
SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyPetName","0")
SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyCreationName","0")
SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyPetName","0")
SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyCreationName","0")
This turns off the nameplates for player pets, companions and creations, like shamans' elementals.

In the same file at line 3388 is another reference to UnitNamePlayer:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNamePlayer",1)
This code is run when you choose to use aloft with all it's fancy nameplate action.

Remove or comment that line and add:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyPlayerName",1)
SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyPlayerName",1)
Now Mazzifier/Mazzifier.lua
Line 387:
Code:
SetCvar("UnitNamePlayer","0")
This section of code is for when you want the nameplate and floating name stuff of from that nifty Aloft question in the mazzifier.

Remove or comment and replace with:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyPlayerName","0")
SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyPlayerName","0")
Lines 397 (398 after the last step) and 407 (409 after fixing 398) are for when you told that same question you want nameplates. Both read:
Code:
SetCvar("UnitNamePlayer","1")
Comment or remove each and replace in both positions with:
Code:
SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyPlayerName","1")
SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyPlayerName","1")
That's it... Save the files and reload WoW, you're done!
I went to the first file and changed everything mentioned here, but when I moved on to open Mazzifier.lua, it tells me access was denied.

I had same problem, then noticed I was doing an Upgrade Mode. Make sure you are doing a Complete Configuration. May have something to do with accessing different lines in DUF or something, not a computer wiz by any stretch of the imagination but I continued getting the DUF errors till I did the complete config, disabled Tinytip, Witchhunt and Aloft.
