Class info while in vehicle

When I use UnitClass(unit) while in a vehicle, when I target myself it returns as "Rogue" even though I am not, any way to check what class/name someone is while they are in a vehicle? I guess this info would be useful in BG's
The vehicle i'm in is from the old raid Ulduar during the Wotlk xpac since its easy to test.

My guess is you're targeting the vehicle instead of the player. You can't select anyone in a vehicle using target, focus, or even nameplate# as they are untargetable. You need to use either player, party#, or raid# UnitIDs.
