So... Needing a font.

I am /trying/ not to use a pixel font this time around for a UI, problem is: I can't seem to find a normal font that looks good with any type of border around it. It's starting to make me hate fonts >.>

So... any help on either: A font that will have a good outline to it; or B a way to make the outline look better. :<

Try mine that i use for my UI, works great and i love it

You might take a look at Andika Basic or Gentium Book Basic - they're two of my favorite fonts. Very clean, easily legible (Gentium was designed for legibility, in fact).

I've tried sooo many it seems, but keep coming back to Myriad & Expressway for nonpixel w/outline...

Which of course are very popular fonts so my post is probably gratuitous, but ....fonts rather excite me. :P

Aquaduct, Diavlo, Orbitron, Fanwood, Linden Hill, Raleway or Junction. All these look quite nice as a non pixel-font with a border. Out of all these, i prefer Junction but then thats my personal preference.

As a post (slightly drunk) rambling thought, I tend to use Enigmatic with an thin outline for my UI which looks quite nice...
Again its all down to personal preference, i have a load of fonts stashed on my storage drive that i've never got around to using, becuase they aren't quite right for a UI but look nice on paper. You just have to find something that suits you and your UI, which sometimes takes a while!
