Hm issues

hey ive got a slight problem. i finally got hm to work in both windows but i cant find out how to disable the blizzrd text
in frame 7 i get the Hm combat text followed straight after by the blizzard one - same in the private message tab. just wondering if there is any way to disable the Blizzard text.

Blizzard should not be writting anything to window 7. That would be the now defunt Simple Combat Log (disable it, do not remove it from addons folders just disable it. The next version gets rid of it fully). As for the combat log tab 2 (labeled private) there is nothing to do about that right now.

I went into settings for combat text. I created a setting named private, and deleted kills, everything, what happened to me...etc.. This enabled me to only see private messages (selected in settings by checking whispers only). I then configured Hitsmode for windows 6 and 7. I haven't yet updated to 1.17 yet, but I am updated to 1.16. I hope this helps kill your spam, it is nice having for me to have something so similar to the days of SCL.

ok thanks for the tab thing, thats worked great.
the only problem with Hm is that it shows the blizzard text for when i loot or when i gain a skill (eg 14 in first aid or something) its not a major thing its just a bit annoying...
any advice?

In prat there are settings for tab visibility, make tabs 6 and 7 "always visible". Right click the tabs for settings and uncheck everything. This will remove the duplicate messages. Then go back into prat and make those tabs "always hidden" again (otherwise you risk clicking the tab instead of autobar or trinket ftl).

right although this sound really noobie - and it is - but i cannot seem to open the prat options window. if i go into mazzle addons and press options it just says "waterfall is not a valid command" and i dunno and other commands to open the prat UI. ive looked on curse and this website but to no avail. please help ! =]

if you are using fubar, you can open that up and place the prat icon on whichever bar your using and click prat from there.

See if there is a little "open chest" type icon on your minimap. If there is, you can access prat from there. I believe Niagra can get you to the prat options as well (should already be a niagra icon on fubar). If neither choice helps, post back and I'll alt tab in and out with a step by step, I'm not in game for a few more hours.

Not sure if i am doing some wrong or not, but hitsmod is only showing incoming damage, is there a way to show outgoing aswell, as in last version 1.17 it show out going and a sumary of damage taken and done once mob is dead..

/hm brings up the hitsmode menu. from there you can select incoming or outgoing dmg, plus a plethora of other settings.

Most of the settings show what they mean in a tooltip when you hover the mouse over them. Setup is gonna be individual preference. Do you like lots of info or bare minimum.

The default setup that doc has included in 1.18 should serve you well to start!
