Once HBO makes a tv show out of something I can actually tell people im reading a fantasy book series instead of pretending its just a big book

Amen to that... Robert Jordan (and his replacement, Brandon Sanderson) have put out at least 3 books in the Wheel of Time since Martin's last book came out (not counting the 2-3 Wild Cards collections he's edited and written for in that time).

And I use to complain about Jordan being slow.

And yes, I'm stoked about this series - it makes me wish I had HBO. :-)

Honestly, I had forgotten about the books. I read the first two (or three) and then when the next book didn't come out for so long I just drifted on to other things. Gonna have to find those books and re-read them.
