Indeed it is saddening news but I just have one question but, what is the reason of creating a website about it why do they feel the need to do that then ask for donations my niece was sick with lukemia but her father didn't go around making a website about it.

I don't mean to sound in bad taste or anything I do send my condolences to his family but it is just a question.

Perhaps there are hundreds of thousands of dollars of unpaid medical bills that they need assistance with. Nothing wrong in asking for a little help. He may also be donating the proceeds for research, or even donating the proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation. Honestly, we can only guess.
